Contact Us
We have appointments available for consultations on Residency for Tuition Purposes, AAS Selective Admissions and Highline Admissions (Getting Started). Please be aware that Highline’s lot has limited space and factor in time for finding parking. If you arrive to your appointment more than 10 minutes late, we will work with you to reschedule for a different day.
Residency for Tuition Purposes
Gum-Lai Ross
Admissions Adviser, Tuition Rate Eligibility
Residency for tuition purposes is different than U.S. residency or even Washington state residency for other purposes. Gum-Lai can help you navigate and work within the rules set by the state of Washington. She guides students who are working to establish, or to evidence, their status. If you have not applied, apply for admission for a residency determination. If your question is related to funding, contact your funder.
AAS Selective Admission Programs
Alyssa Thompson
Admissions Adviser, Selective Admissions
Alyssa is here to help guide you through applying to Highline’s current AAS selective admission programs: Registered Nursing and Respiratory Care. We can ONLY advise about admission to these programs. If your advising needs are related to an AA or course planning, please contact Academic Advising. If you have questions about choosing a pathway in the nursing profession, please contact Counseling or CASE for career exploration.
Getting Started
Marlena Afereti
Admissions Adviser, Highline Admissions
New to college? Returning after time away? Need reassurance you’re doing everything you’re supposed to? Marlena is here to help guide you with general guidance and direction about how to navigate and get started. If your advising needs are related to choosing classes, please contact Academic Advising. If you have questions about choosing a career or program of study, please contact Counseling or CASE for career exploration.
We return all emails and all phone messages.
Please do not leave multiple messages or contact us multiple ways. It actually slows down, not speeds up, our response rate. A returned call counts whether we reach you, leave a message, or tried but cannot leave a message (for example, because your voice box is full, your phone has been disconnected or you did not leave your area code).
